The Laser Assisted Weekend Necklift is a state-of-the-art procedure that combines the most sophisticated facial plastic surgery techniques in order to improve the appearance of the chin, jaw and neck. This procedure can treat a ‘turkey neck’ and a ‘double chin’ with minimal incisions and little downtime.
The Weekend Necklift is not appropriate for everyone. It is not designed to treat jowls, the upper and midface, the forehead, the eyelids, or nasolabial folds. These may be better treated with other procedures such as a facelift, browlift, eyelid surgery or injectable filler treatment, which may be performed separately or in combination with the necklift. For some patients with a significant amount of excess tissue, Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS may combine the Weekend Necklift with Direct Submentoplasty in which the skin is inconspicuously excised.
The Weekend Necklift first involves the application of cervicofacial liposculpture to contour the fatty areas in the face and neck. After this, Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS will tighten the neck muscles and eliminate neck bands. The final step is the application of the laser to resurface and tighten the skin on the underside of the neck. The result is an improved chin and neck contour with a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.
