There are a variety of methods which may be used to enhance the lips and create a more luscious, voluptuous appearance. Some treatments create the appearance of fuller lips, others can help you to achieve a pouty appearance, and still other treatments can improve lines and wrinkles in the skin around the mouth. Certain treatments, including injectable materials like Radiance and Restylane, provide temporary results. Other treatments produce more permanent results, including implantable materials like Gore-Tex and SoftForm.
Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS performs most lip enhancement treatments in the comfort of our office, and local anesthesia is often used. Procedural times will vary, with injectable treatments often taking as little as fifteen minutes to complete. Surgical treatments will take longer. Non-surgical procedures often allow for an immediate return to work and other normal activities. For surgical procedures, patients can typically return to work and other normal, non-strenuous activities within a week’s time.
