Aging is inevitable. With time, the skin of the face and neck begins to loosen and sag, and the visible signs of aging become apparent in our facial appearance. The skin around the eyes may develop crow's feet, and jowls may form as the jaw line softens. Fine lines may appear along the forehead which gradually develop into deeper folds and creases, and the skin along the chin and neck may develop folds as well.
Fortunately, there is help. Using state-of-the-art facelift techniques, Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS can restore a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance to an aging chin, neckline and face.

The facelift can improve the appearance of the lower face and neck, including sagging cheeks, the contour of the chin and neckline, jowls, lines and wrinkles, and deeper creases and facial folds. The forehead and brow position, as well as the eyelid appearance, are not altered by the facelift. These may be treated with a browlift and/or eyelid surgery, which can be performed separately or in combination with the facelift.
Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS understands that his patients want to look better, not different or surgically altered. As such, he aims for a natural, rested and more youthful facial appearance. During surgery, the facial muscles and fat are lifted and repositioned. Local anesthesia and sedation or general anesthesia may be used, and surgical times average three hours. For most patients, work and other normal, non-strenuous activities may be resumed within two weeks.
The facelift is among the most popular procedures performed by Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS. If you're interested in turning back the clock and restoring a more youthful face and neckline, call our office today to schedule your consultation with Ross A. Clevens, MD, FACS.
